Mpepuoa Movement: Championing Education and Social Justice in Lesotho

At Mpepuoa Movement, we believe that education is the key to a better, brighter Lesotho. As an Anti-Corruption, Anti-GBV, pro-education, Inclusion Catalyst, and Social Justice organization, we are dedicated to combating gender-based violence (GBV) and advocating for the rights of students and access to equitable, quality education.

Founded in 2023, Mpepuoa Movement works to bridge the gap between educational institutions, government bodies, and students. We strive to ensure that students’ voices are heard, their rights are protected, and they receive the best possible learning experience.

Our approach is collaborative and solution-driven. Through partnerships with institutions like the Council on Higher Education (CHE), the National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS), and the Lesotho Parliament through the social cluster, we promote dialogue and accountability. We help these bodies work together toward a common goal: a better education system that serves students’ needs.

One of our proudest achievements has been curbing student strikes in 2023 by encouraging non-violence and collective problem-solving. We believe in empowering students through knowledge and action, and our efforts reflect our commitment to building a peaceful, educated, and just society.

As the first Pro-Education Rights Movement in Lesotho, we’re just getting started. Join us in our mission to shape the future of Transformative Education and Social Justice in our nation. Together, we can make a difference!
